Biography
Kirsten Horsburgh is the National Naloxone Coordinator at The Scottish Drugs Forum.
She has a background in mental health nursing and is currently responsible for the coordination of the Scottish Government’s National Naloxone Programme. Her remit includes the development of training resources and training delivery to a wide range of stakeholders across Scotland, including those at risk of overdose and their families. She also supports local agencies in their work to embed overdose prevention, intervention and naloxone distribution within services.
Kirsten was a member of the World Health Organisation guidelines development group for the Community Management of Opioid Overdose.
This presentation is discussing policy issues and practicalities of introducing, embedding and developing take-home naloxone in Scotland.
