Reader in Primary Care, and Director of E-health Unit
Elizabeth Murray is a Reader in Primary Care, and Director of the E-health Unit in the Department of Primary Care and Population Sciences, University College London. Her interest in the use of the Internet in health started with a Harkness Fellowship in Health Care Policy 2001 – 02. She spent her Harkness Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, studying the effect of health information on the Internet on the doctor-patient relationship. She returned to London to take up a Department of Health Career Scientist Award (2002 – 07), and established the E-health Unit which focuses on the use of new technologies, such as the Internet, to help people take better care of their health.
