Carole Hunter

Carole Hunter (Dr) is the Lead Pharmacist, Alcohol and Drug Services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and a member of the SLWG developing Glasgow’s Supervised Drug Consumption Room (SDCR) and Heroin Assisted Treatment (HAT) recommendations. In 2003 she succeeded Kay Roberts as Area Pharmacy Specialist in Drug Misuse for NHS Greater Glasgow. From 2009 to 2016 she was a member of the Scottish Government’s Drug Strategy Delivery Commission and is now a member of Partnership Action on Drugs Scotland (PADS) Harms group. She is a former chair of Scotland’s National Naloxone Advisory Group and current chair of the Scottish Specialist Substance Misuse Pharmacists group. Dr Hunter was a member of the 2017 Drug Misuse and Dependence UK Guidelines on Clinical Management Independent Expert Working Group.
