Biography

Dr Davina Swan is a Postdoctoral Research Worker in the Addictions Department at King’s College London. She works on a project led by Dr Gail Gilchrist to develop and feasibility test a psychosocial intervention to reduce blood borne virus infections among people who inject drugs in the UK. Davina completed her PhD in Psychology at University College Cork (Ireland). She subsequently worked at University College Dublin on a study of barriers to hepatitis C care among people who inject drugs, and at University of Limerick on a feasibility trial of SBIRT for problem alcohol use among patients with problem drug use. More recently, she has worked on an IT-facilitated study of mental health problems in general practice.
