Biography
Dorte Hecksher (MSc (psychology), PhD) works as an assistant professor at the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research, University of Aarhus, Denmark. Her postdoctoral studies have primarily focused on women, substance use and treatment, with a special interest in pregnant substance using women and barriers to treatment. Currently she is involved in a research project focusing on self-change among alcohol-users, an issue which hasn’t been subject of research in a Danish context until now.
