Biography

Laura is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King’s Centre for Military Health Research, King’s College London. Laura’s PhD project involved modelling longitudinal trajectories of alcohol misuse in the UK Armed Forces (UKAF) and using biographical interviews of drinking experiences to understand broader trends. As a mixed methods researcher, Laura is particularly interested in how epidemiological research and perspectives of lived experience can be integrated. Laura currently works on a project funded by Forces in Mind Trust using similar methods to understand how symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) develop in serving and ex-serving samples.
