Biography

I live and work in the North West of England. Currently I am lead doctor for Smithtfield services, an inpatient drug and alcohol detoxfication unit in Manchester, and lead doctor for ARCH Initiatives, a third sector organisation who provide community drug services in Merseyside. I also work part-time as a general practitioner in St Helens and Bolton. I am the RCGP co-lead for developing alcohol training. I started working in substance misuse services in 1993 with a background as a general practitioner and public health consultant.
