Rob van der Waal was the lead for the supervised injecting clinic between 2005 and 2011 He was involved in setting up the clinics that took part in the RIOTT trial and the training of staff in clinical procedures. He has maintained a keen interest in the further development HAT, providing advice and information to organisations in the UK and abroad.
