Mr Zeyang Yang

Biography

I got the degree of MA in Education with merit in the University of York in 2013-2014. I started my PhD in Education in the University of York from October 2015 supervised by Dr Kathryn Asbury. I presented my study as poster presentations in the BPS (The British Psychological Society) annual conference 2017 and the BSPID (British Society for the Psychology of Individual Differences) annual conference 2017. My study for the PhD thesis is about problematic smartphone use and the possible correlates among Chinese university students, which is my current interest. I used SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) in AMOS to analyse the quantitative data collected from questionnaires. I also conducted interviews to investigate the topic and used the framework analysis for qualitative data analysis assisted by NVivo. I am looking forward to investigate some specific aspects of problematic smartphone use in my future work.
