Biography
Lucy Dorey has a background as a psychiatric nurse, BACP accredited counsellor and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Therapist and has worked in the addictions field in a variety of roles. She has also worked as a therapist and mindfulness/ACT trainer in private practice. Lucy has recently submitted her PhD thesis after four years as a student in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton. Her interests include: to understand and influence the process of change in recovery; contextual behavioural sciences; co-morbidity of addiction and common mental health problems.
