Biography

Background:
I graduated with a medical degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 2015, having previously completed an LLB in law. After completing foundation training, I commenced Psychiatry training in 2017 and was awarded the MRCPsych qualification in 2019.

Current work and organisation:
I am currently an ST6 trainee in General Adult Psychiatry. I currently work between a general adult inpatient ward and PICU in the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland.

Areas of interest:
I have a special interest in substance misuse and completed my Addiction Psychiatry endorsement in my ST5 year. I also have a particular interest in medical education.

Intentions for future work:
I hope to complete my Psychiatry training in 2023 and seek a consultant post in Addiction Psychiatry. I also intend to complete the final year of the Masters in Clinical Education course in this academic year.
