Biography

Celia Morgan is Professor of Psychopharmacology at University of Exeter. Her research is funded by the Medical Research Council, Economic and Social Research Council and the Beckley Foundation and includes a clinical trial of ketamine and CBT for alcohol use disorder, cannabinoids for smoking cessation and compassion focused therapy for people on opiate substitution medication. Celia’s research is focussed on augmenting psychological therapy for addiction by harnessing the properties of psychoactive drugs. She is very excited to play a small part of the psychedelic renaissance in addiction treatment, and to be presenting about new treatments for addiction at the SSA.
