This series was developed in 2015 to give people a core understanding of addiction and of the key issues around drug use, treatment and policy. The videos were produced by Dr Sally Marlow and Wendy Homewood for the SSA and are available here for everyone to access.
The three videos cover the definitions and theories of addiction and relate these to the research basis for addiction, treatment and policy. They include interviews with prominent researchers and clinicians as well as people who use drugs.
