COVID-19 (coronavirus)

Since early 2020, COVID-19 has spread around the world with both predictable and unpredictable consequences. The impact on people who use drugs and on addiction treatment, policy and research has been huge. The full implication of COVID-19 will remain uncertain for many months and years to come.

At the SSA, we have been collecting information, links and resources as they are published. On this page you will find links to addiction-related COVID-19 resources, perspectives from policymakers, the view of clinicians working in treatment services and summaries of global policy responses. We have a collection of webinars and podcasts as well as discussions about alcohol use and domestic abuse. We have advice on how PhD students can look after their mental health during lock-down.

These pages will be regularly updated for the foreseeable future. Please contact us if there are any resources or links that you would like us to add.
