Ms Asna Ahmed
I am a second year PhD student at the University of Leeds. My research is to understand the relationship of drug users’ housing status on their drug treatment. Using a mixed method research approach, I am particularly interested in understanding ways to improve treatment effectiveness by individualising treatment planning based on the housing status of drug users.
I hold a Masters in Psychological therapies from Leeds Beckett University, PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology from Calcutta University, and a B.A in Psychology from Delhi University. I am a HCPC registered counselling psychologist and currently offer brief psychosocial interventions such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT as a recovery coordinator in Leeds.
